Covered Calls Silver Uranium

Energy Fuels ($UUUU), Denison Mines ($DNN) and Covered Calls

Happy Valentines Day and Options Expiration Friday. Today I bought some Energy Fuels and some Denison Mines.

Also, I had a bunch of weekly Covered Calls on Cameco and First Majestic that all expired today out of the money. Both came close to being called away earlier on in the week, but they pulled back and finished the week out of the money.

Have a great night and a great weekend.

BioTech Uranium

Cameco ($CCJ), Denison Mines ($DNN), Innovio Pharmaceuticals ($INO)

Today I bought some Cameco ($CCJ) and some Denison Mines ($DNN).

My biotech play Innovio Pharmaceuticals ($INO) was up about 22% today on news that it has discovered a coronavirus vaccine. It will take some time to prove out, but this is certainly great news for the company and I think its gonna bust my covered call this month.

In other news, Energy Fuels ($UUUU) announced today a bought deal for ~$16M at $1.47 / share to finance the ramping up of production at their mines. It will have a red day tomorrow, so maybe its time to buy more.

Buy the red, sell the green… Buy the Fear, Sell the Greed. Have a great night.

Shipping Uranium

Uranium and Shipping

Today I wrote some weekly out of the money covered calls on Cameco ($CCJ) as it was having another green day. I chased the bid rather than sitting on the ask, and in hindsight I should have been more patient. Live and learn.

I bought some more Energy Fuels ($UUUU) and Denison Mines ($DNN) with the proceeds of the covered calls.

As with Cameco mentioned above, uranium issues had a great day today. There seems to be some positive momentum with the sector which is a welcome relief to those of us who have suffered through the bear market for awhile.

Shipping issues were also up a bit today, and looking like they are stabilizing somewhat. Hopefully the worst of the coronavirus scare is behind us and China-dependent sectors like shipping and copper amongst others will start to rise again.

Remember, buy the fear, sell the greed, buy the red, sell the green. Have a great night.

Covered Calls Silver Uranium Vanadium

First Majestic ($AG) Covered Calls Cameco ($CCJ) Covered Calls Energy Fuels ($UUUU) Denison Mines ($DNN)

Happy Options Expiration Friday. Today my weekly covered calls in First Majestic ($AG) and Cameco ($CCJ) both expired out of the money. First Majestic had a bit of a run earlier in the week, however ultimately it failed to sustain the part as silver came under pressure later in the week. Cameco had its quarterly conference call this morning. Things are looking up for the uranium sector as a whole, but the turnaround is slow going. Its definitely a market for the patient. Once uranium hits $30 / lb in the spot market things should start to run a bit quicker. Looking forward to more writing opportunities next week. Today I also bought more Energy Fuels ($UUUU) and Denison Mines ($DNN) as uranium plays were deep in the red and certainly on sale. Have a great weekend!

Covered Calls Silver Uranium

First Majestic ($AG) Alexco Resources ($AXU) Energy Fuels ($UUUU) Denison Mines ($DNN)

First Majestic ($AG) was green today so I wrote some out of the money covered calls (sell into greed). I used the proceeds to buy more Alexco Resources ($AXU), Energy Fuels ($UUUU) and Denison Mines ($DNN) which were all having red days (buy into fear). Have a great night.

Covered Calls Silver Uranium Vanadium

Denison Mines $DNN First Majestic $AG Energy Fuels $UUUU

Today I mostly sat on my hands, but bought some more Denison Mines $DNN and went fishing with some out of the money covered calls on First Majestic $AG and Energy Fuels $UUUU at the ask. No one took the bait. There’s always tomorrow. Write Green and Buy Red. Or, put another way: Write the Greed, Buy the Fear. Have a great evening.

Energy Uranium

Denison Mines $DNN

I initiated a small position in Denison Mines $DNN today. Looking forward to seeing what David Cates and the company can accomplish when uranium takes a turn with Wheeler River and the other assets they have. Have a great night.
